At the heart of St.James’ community lies a shared enthusiasm for lifelong learning, an intellectual curiosity and spirit of discovery which our dedicated teachers encourage at every stage of your child’s educational journey. We are committed to helping every child discover their talents and passions and to equipping them with the skills they will need to develop those interests into an enjoyable and vibrant future.
The spirit of community at St.James’ is one of its defining features. Founded on a Church of England tradition the school welcomes children of all faiths and none to a community that emphasises values of spiritual awareness, understanding and respect for others. We celebrate achievement and individuality, providing a diverse range of experiences that encourages children to understand the value of working together and recognising the talents and contributions of their peers. This grass-roots pastoral system is supported by caring staff with deep expertise in the education of children. This extends into their secondary career, with almost all children continuing their journey together at Wardle Academy.
St. James’ energetic and forward-looking ethos has seen the school continuously develop in order provide the highest standard of education. We pride ourselves in being ‘Committed to Excellence’ in all that we do. We strive for the best possible academic outcomes for your child, but we also make sure the rounded education of a child is not lost.
St. James’ governors are committed to ensuring the school continues to flourish and grow, taking advantage of opportunities available in the ever-changing world of education. They too are ‘Committed to Excellence’ and work tirelessly to support and challenge the school’s leaders.
