If you or your child has any worries or concerns about school please do not hesitate to contact a member of staff in year 1. On this page, we will share our class news and celebrate our children’s fantastic work.
Miss Lord and Mrs Clegg
It is essential that children read at home at least four times per week. Regular reading has an enormous impact on children’s learning and confidence across the curriculum. Reading books are changed on Tuesdays. Please ensure your child brings in their bookbag and reading books to ensure they get a change of books for the week ahead.
Children must ensure that their PE kits are in school for their PE lessons every Tuesday and Thursday. PE kits should only be brought into school on these days. It is also especially important that children bring in their water bottles on these days.
Children are set homework each Friday. This year, homework will be set via Google Classroom and will be handed in electronically by the following Thursday.
At St James, we currently use Google Classroom to access online learning. Your child will have their own login to access this platform. If you have any issues accessing the Google classroom please contact us at school.
Below are a list of recourses you can use to support your child with their learning at home. Please remember to check the google classroom for additional ideas and resources related to each part of the national curriculum.
St James’ CofE is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We expect all staff, visitors and volunteers to share this commitment. If you have concerns regarding the safeguarding or welfare of any of our pupils, please contact Stuart Booth or Joanna Chambers.
