Century Tech
Century Tech is an artificial intelligence platform which supports student learning in English, Maths and Science and has been proven to increase student progress.
Our students can access the platform here from any device that has internet access. Alongside using Century in class, we will soon have a new Century Club for children to attend to complete their homework and for fun! Please keep checking your chosen methods of communication from school for any updates.
What is CENTURY?
CENTURY is an online learning tool for students. It combines artificial intelligence with the latest research in learning science and neuroscience. The platform identifies every student’s strengths, gaps in knowledge and misconceptions. Students can log in and complete work that has been suggested for them by the advanced recommendation engine or work that has been set by teachers. It allows students to take control of their own learning and for teachers to get real-time data on progress, so they can quickly identify which students need support or additional challenge.

What does this mean for my child’s learning?
All Key Stage 2 children will continue to regularly access CENTURY in class to consolidate, support and extend their current learning or revise previous knowledge and skills. To build on this, all children in Key Stage 2 will now be able to access their weekly mathematics and English homework set by their class teachers through their CENTURY account.
What if my child cannot access CENTURY at home?
Alongside the children’s use of CENTURY in their lessons, children in Key Stage 2 will also have the opportunity to book into our new ‘Century Club’ which will take place during lunchtime break and will enable children to complete their homework or continue to work on activities of their choice. Further information will be provided in due course.
Accessing CENTURY
Students are able to access CENTURY at any time and anywhere. It is available to them in school and also at home. All they need to do is visit app.century.tech and enter their unique login details. Their login details will have been given to them by their teacher.
The platform can be accessed from tablets and laptops on up-to-date versions of most common browsers. The best browsers are Chrome on PCs and Android devices and Safari on iPads. It is optimised for use on mobile phones.
How will my child’s success be celebrated?
Each week, teachers in Key Stage 2 will nominate one child to be our St James Century Champion in our Friday Celebration Assembly. Please keep an eye on our school Facebook page where the awards are posted.
What does this mean for my child’s personal data?
CENTURY is fully compliant with all relevant data protection legislation, including GDPR and has processes in place to ensure data is secure. Personal information, such as names and dates of birth are authorised to be shared by the school according to the data sharing agreement signed by all parents.
