Vikings at St James
Year 4 had a truly legendary visit this week, stepping back in time with Olaf the Storyteller!
The children were absolutely spellbound by Olaf’s tales of Norse myths and legends. Our young historians got hands-on by exploring a fascinating collection of authentic artefacts, learning exactly what life was like in the Viking Age.
The highlight of the day was ‘The Great Battle’! Extensive training was provided before the shield wall was formed. Our warriors showed incredible teamwork, discipline, and just a little bit of Viking ferocity!
