The progress in our Year 5 and Year 6 Lacrosse PE sessions has been outstanding this term! Their love for the sport shines through in the matches they play, and it is clear that their skills are improving significantly week by week. A huge well done to all the children.
A handful of Year 5 and 6 pupils were recently chosen to represent St James’ on Thursday 20th March at the GM School Games Lacrosse Finals! The children had previously qualified through the Rochdale Borough Games. We took a short trip to the Armitage Centre in Manchester and the children blew us away! The teamwork, determination and respect shown across the day was outstanding. We are immensely proud of all the children, losing only 1 group game. They qualified for the Championship Title and reached the quarter final stage. We are so proud of each player, what a fantastic achievement! Also a huge mention and well done to Dylan who came as our very own sports reporter! He has written a lovely piece on the day which will hopefully be published soon! Well done team.
