COMMITTED TO EXCELLENCE

Welcome to St. James’ CE Primary School

We are a school community that is ‘Committed to Excellence’ in all aspects of our work. We strive for the best possible academic outcomes for all children and deliver an engaging curriculum full of exciting opportunities. Most importantly, we work tirelessly with families to create children that we are proud to say are from St.James’. This website will provide you with an overview of our school, but would encourage prospective parents to visit our fantastic setting and see what makes St.James’ so special.

WHAT MAKES ST JAMES’ SPECIAL

Curriculum Icons

Curriculum

At St James’ CE Primary School we aim to provide the children with a curriculum which is broad, well balanced and above all
stimulates the children to learn.

In addition to acquiring skills
and knowledge, we aim to help the children to grow in confidence and maturity so that they can enter secondary school, and later, adulthood with the ability to pursue wholeheartedly, academic, social and cultural activities.

It is a curriculum which is both coherent and cohesive.

Our children are at the forefront of everything we do at St James’. We strive for the best possible academic outcomes for
all children and deliver an engaging curriculum full of exciting opportunities which promote a life-long love of learning.

Most importantly, we work tirelessly with families to create independent learners who are adaptable, questioning, curious
and confident in their own ability to achieve their full potential, and children that we are proud to say are from St. James.

Community Icons

Community

The spirit of community at St James’ is one of its defining features. Founded on a Church of England tradition the school welcomes children of all faiths and beliefs to a community that emphasises values of spiritual awareness, understanding and respect for others.

We celebrate achievement and individuality,
providing a diverse range of experiences that encourages children to understand the value of working together and recognising the talents and contributions of their peers.
