WHAT MAKES ST JAMES’ SPECIAL

Curriculum

At St James’ CE Primary School we aim to provide the children with a curriculum which is broad, well balanced and above all
stimulates the children to learn.

In addition to acquiring skills
and knowledge, we aim to help the children to grow in confidence and maturity so that they can enter secondary school, and later, adulthood with the ability to pursue wholeheartedly, academic, social and cultural activities.

It is a curriculum which is both coherent and cohesive.

What a wonderful way to spend yesterday afternoon! Our school hall was transformed into a gallery of pure imagination for the KS2 Easter Egghibition, and we are still beaming from the success of it all.

A huge thank you to our incredibly talented children and their supportive parents. The effort, detail, and creativity poured into these 'egg-cellent' masterpieces were truly astounding. From historical scenes to favorite book characters, the level of craftsmanship on display was second to none.

We also want to give a special shout-out to our School Council. You worked tirelessly to help set up the exhibition, ensuring every creation was displayed perfectly. Your leadership didn't stop there—thank you for taking on the difficult task of judging and selecting our runners-up and winners!

It was heart-warming to welcome so many families back into the building. We loved hearing your feedback, including these lovely comments:
'I really enjoyed seeing all of the kids' creations—the variety was amazing!'
'It’s so lovely to be invited into school to share these opportunities with our children. A really special afternoon.'

Our School Council has made their final decisions, and we can’t wait to find out the winners tomorrow. Thank you once again to everyone who made yesterday so 'egg-stra' special! 🐰🌷

What a lovely morning we had yesterday for our EYFS & KS1 Easter Bonnet parade! 🌼🥚 A huge thank you to all the parents and children for creating such beautiful masterpieces. The children walked gracefully around the hall, showcasing their creativity, and each class performed an Easter song with delightful actions. Thank you to our young leaders for helping with refreshments and photographs🌟

We received some wonderful comments from families: 'A very organised, enjoyable experience!' and 'Lovely to see all of the children and their proud faces after they had performed!'

We're so proud of our little stars! 🌟🌈
